Exhibition Reflection
Name:
- Savannah Tweed
I am in class...
- Class B
The greatest strength of my exhibition project was...
- The artist statement that I wrote for the Jimmy Carter portrait made out of trash. I did a lot of research on the background of Jimmy Carter when I was writing the artist statement, and I learned a lot while researching. As well as writing the artist statement for the art piece, I also translated my writing into spanish, for our spanish speaking audience at exhibition. Even though I didn't have many other contributions to the project, I believe that this was my strongest one.
The thing I would most like to have improved about my exhibition project is...
- Something that I would like to have done during this project was to contribute a little bit more on the artistic aspect. Even though I didn't "sign up" to help my group-mates with the art piece, I still felt the need to help. Although, I did help trace Jimmy Carter's face onto the canvas in the first week of the project.
Share some things you learned through the process of creating your exhibition project.
- Like I said before, I learned a lot of information on Jimmy Carter, that I didn't know already. One of the things I learned was that Jimmy Carter was a major environmentalist, but he couldn't manage some of his Acts, and that lead to him not winning the election for his possible second-term as president. I learned a lot more information on Jimmy Carter, but this is just one example.
My greatest strength during exhibition was... (you may choose up to 2)
- Teamwork with my partner(s)
- Depth of understanding
An area of growth I would like to see for myself is in...
- Speaking ability
I would be interested in displaying art and talking with the public about watersheds at Patagonia store in Cardiff.
