Career Day 2014
Career Day Reflection:
Career Day at High Tech High North County is an opportunity to find what profession you’re interested in, and to be exposed to all sorts of experiences, that will end up being your lifelong career. Its purpose is to give you a head start on what occupation would best fit your personality and passion towards what you’re willing to do.
On May 23, 2014, I went to Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. I went there to shadow Sandy Gammalgard, a Kindergarten teacher. I observed first hand how being a kindergarten teacher isn’t about having naps and tying shoes, it’s about teaching the kids numbers and basic knowledge for their ongoing education. When I was there, the kids treated me as though I was their friend, and they would want to play with me, show me their work, read to me, etc.
